It was many years ago
Unbeknownst then to me
That I slipped into the water
And headed out to Sea
Before I had even seen
The waves lining up
I was looking over my shoulder
Trying to outguess lady luck
Then along came a mountain
Shining and bright
And for whom I was willing
And happy to fight
With grim determination
I committed my life
Not knowing that I
Had already loaded the dice
So the knowing the knows
When my ride came undone
Showed little surprise
When she outran my run
So now I am pitched
And tumbling round
The force of the water
Holding me down
And if I do break the surface
There's something I'll know
A part of me will wish
I was back down below
