He was beside her
Now she is beside herself
We with outstretched arms
Either side matching her terrible pace
A hovering tightrope run over
Weather passes by unannounced
Our procession through the weary light
Makes a slowly way ahead
Shoulders of strangers brushed
Hands and fingers clasped tight
Or searching our pockets bottom
For a feel of something right
